Introduction
On August 20, expert journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Manchester United are actively looking for a left-back as their transfer priority.
Michael Carrick views Balde as an offensive left-back who could contribute to counter-attacks.
Current Barcelona Contract
Expiry: 30 June 2028
Release Clause: €1 billion
Salary: €1,670,000
Potential Bonuses: Up to €1.3 million per year
Barcelona are expecting €50 million for Balde, while some latest reports suggest a €70 million expectation. However, there is no report suggesting that Manchester United have submitted a bid yet.
Balde’s Preference
22-year-old Spanish player Balde is not looking forward to leaving Barcelona under any circumstances for now. Alejandro is very happy at Barcelona according to many reliable sources, including Fabrizio Romano.
Alejandro made his preference public by saying:
“People always say a lot of things, but Barcelona is my home. I’ve been at this club for 16 years, my whole life.”
He added:
“I’m from Barcelona, it’s my home. All I’m thinking about is staying here for many more years. I’m not thinking about leaving.”
“I’m a Barcelona fan, I’m from Barcelona. I won’t be better anywhere else.”
My Perspective
In my perspective, this would be a mediocre decision for Barcelona if they decide to sell Alejandro Balde.
Honestly, if Barcelona sells Alejandro Balde for between €60–70 million, it would be an advantageous deal. However, anything lower than that is unacceptable.
Overall, Balde is an amazing player, but his recurring injury problems may create some problems.
