Fenerbahçe’s New Lukaku Bid: Will He Join and Shock the Süper Lig?

Introduction

According to expert journalist Fabrizio Romano, Fenerbahce has submitted a new official bid over 6 million to Napoli for the Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku.

Contract Details

Contract length: 2 years until 2028 and option to add 1 more year
Salary: 10 million euro per year
Transfer fee: 6 million (according to Fabrizio Romano)

Lukaku has faced several severe injuries last season with only 7 appearances, making him available as Napoli seeks to cut his high wages.

Reports suggests that Fenerbahce agreed on personal terms with Lukaku. The main remaining issue is the transfer fee between the clubs.

Why Fenerbahce Want Lukaku

Fenerbahce are interested in Lukaku because of his experience and physical strength. The Belgian striker has played for several elite clubs and could bring experience to the Turkish league.

However, his recent injury problems remain a major concern for Fenerbahce.

Lukaku’s Possible Role

If the transfer is completed, Lukaku could become one of Fenerbahce’s main attacking players. His physical strength, finishing and experience could make him a dangerous striker in the Super Lig if he stays fit.

Fenerbahce Fans’ Reaction

Fenerbahce fans have had mixed reactions to the possible transfer. Some fans believe Lukaku could become a major star in Turkey, while others are worried about his injuries and high salary.

My Perspective

In my perspective, this is a poor decisiom from Fenerbahce. Buying a player like Lukaku is straight up dumb to be honest. Romelu has faced with several injuries starting from 2024 to 2026 and making him a bad player to be honest.

However, if Lukaku manages to stay fit, he could prove many people wrong and become a successful striker at Fenerbahce.
