Introduction
On Thursday, 23 July, FC Barcelona officially announced the signing of German international forward Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund. The 24-year-old young talent has signed a five-year contract running until 2031, making him the club’s second major addition after Anthony Gordon’s transfer.
The Contract Details
Barcelona are willing to pay €22 million plus bonuses to Borussia Dortmund, buying an incredible player for a relatively cheap fee.
Karim Adeyemi will earn €6 million per year, and with this transfer, Adeyemi became the second player this century, after Ousmane Dembélé, to move from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona.

Karim Adeyemi is known for his explosive speed, dribbling, long shots, and finishing.
His best attribute is his explosive speed because Adeyemi has reached 22 mph, a pace that many players cannot even get close to.
My Perspective
In my perspective, this is a solid move for both Barcelona and Karim Adeyemi. Barcelona were desperate for a winger, an attacking midfielder, and a forward who could rotate with the other players.
Karim Adeyemi will act as a joker, covering multiple attacking positions. Some people might say this is a horrible move because Barcelona already have a squad with depth. I agree with that; however, Karim is a player who can play almost anywhere in the attack and contribute in different ways. That is what makes him special.
