Introduction
On June 30, Marc Cucurella gave an interview on the Spanish sports TV show El Chiringuito.
Cucurella’s speech highlighted Real Madrid’s legacy and his passion to one day win the UEFA Champions League with the club he loves.
Marc Cucurella’s Statement
Marc Cucurella said:
“I watched Real Madrid’s documentary about the last Champions League run.”
“It always seems like nothing will happen, but they know something will happen, they’re going to pull a remontada.”
“Living it must be beautiful. I want the UCL with Real Madrid.”
My Perspective
In my opinion, these comments show how much Marc Cucurella admires Real Madrid’s winning mentality and Champions League history. However, this speech had too much depth for a player who graduated from La Masia.
Social Media Reactions
On social media, the reactions have been very negative, as many Barcelona fans believe Cucurella is being sarcastic and has turned his back on Barcelona’s legacy for money. However, others argue that he is simply expressing his dreams for Real Madrid’s success.
As a graduate of La Masia, he deserves the boo he gets when he plays at Camp Nou. pic.twitter.com/SBbLnhLd3A
