Introduction

Edin Terzić has officially signed a deal to become the new Athletic Club manager until June 2028, taking the place of Ernesto Valverde. To secure the German coach, the club has agreed to a salary of €4 million per year, making him one of the highest-paid managers in Athletic Club history. 

The Rumors

Rumors suggest the club will remain focused on developing young talent and strictly continuing their traditional strategy of using only Basque players. 

Current Standings

He now joins a Bilbao side currently sitting 8th in La Liga, with the immediate goal for the 2026-2027 to join Champions League.
